The story of this website is that one year ago the previous owner (an online marketer in affiliate business) decided to make a Shopify website and using Facebook ads to get specific traffic to the website. From day 1 on this was a huge success and orders were coming in like crazy.
First he decided to automate the website and the order process with the Chinese drop shipper to minimize back order processes. This was done quickly and the Facebook ads were turned on again. This resulted in monthly sales around EUR 24,000 in one month with a profit of EUR 16,000. The sales were realized with only 4 or 5 products, without much work. And in the back office the orders were pushed automatically to the Chinese dropshippers.
After this month he decided to lower the advertorial budget, because with the increasing of the sales also the customer support was increasing. This was the most negative aspect of the previous owner and he decided to sell the business.
After taking over the business I further streamlined the back end processes and searched for better suppliers/transporters. This has lead to minimal customer contacts. On the other hand, combining this business with my current project is hard and I think it is a waste that this website is not using its full potential.
It is easy to make a day job out of this website or to add this website to your portfolio. Furthermore the revenues could be increased easily if you add more products and increase the number of ads.
