General description

This is the second online Shopify business that I have started and run. My previous business held physical stock and required a lot of capital to get started. This time round I wanted to learn what the process was for creating a dropshipping business and to see how quickly it could be setup.

As I was setting this dropshipping business up I was working on the development of a brand new product idea and am now selling this store as I want to focus my time and energy on that instead.

Why should someone buy this store?

If you are looking for your first startup business, with minimal capital, no need to purchase stock and with all the brand and social media unified and setup, then this is the store for you. I've run this store for just over 8 weeks and focused on ironing out all the little bugs that happen when you first setup a dropshipping store, and which take the most time! - e.g. setting up the pricing parameters correctly, rewriting product descriptions and importing product reviews to say the least.

How can the future owner improve the business?

Researching new items for your stores inventory to keep people coming back to your store. Continue to build relationships with influencers that are following the store on Instagram. Using their content to post on the website, and use this in tern to use for Facebook and Instagram advertising has been very effective in building audience for the store.

What work have you put into the store?

I've also spent a lot of time researching and sourcing reputable manufacturers with 5 star ratings, who have been running for at least two years or more, who have good product reviews from customers.

I've also ensured that the most effective social media accounts for this type of business have been created and ensured that the brand image is unified across all platforms, as well as tying in social media to the website for a fluid social media experience.

I've spent a small budget on Facebook & Instagram advertising, quickly testing out and focusing in on who the target audience is for this type of product. Through doing so I have also worked out what types of post are most effective for the target audience.

Have also focused on building lasting relationships with influencers on Instagram, which in turn has provided free content to add to the website, and provides value back to the stores target audience. A lot of the accounts that follow my store on Instagram are big influencers with 30k, 60k to 160K plus followers.
