Cody and Bella is a family run pet goods boutique based in Jersey City, New Jersey.
After adopting our beloved rescue cat, we discovered firsthand the struggle of finding chic pet products. So, we founded Cody and Bella to share a curated selection of our favorite pet goods designed to maximize your pet's comfort - without sacrificing your style.
We also believe that the objects that make a house a home (for the whole family) are made through sustainable and humane practices.

Someone should buy this store because it is a low risk opportunity that could be grown into a profitable business by someone with the time and inclination to develop a consistent marketing strategy. It uses the drop shipping model, so there is no inventory held. It is a niche market, so customers are engaged and loyal, but I have not had the time to implement a marketing strategy that resulted in consistent volume of sales. I think that if a new owner spent the time required to develop a strategy, this would be a high profit, low time commitment for the right person.
How can the future owner improve the business?
The future owner will be able to grow the business by identifying and implementing a consistent and effective marketing strategy.
What work have you put into the store?
I have put a lot of work into the store - developed relationships with suppliers, experimented with social media and direct email marketing, built up an email list, and maintained an attractive and easy to navigate website.
I am a finance professional based in Jersey City, NJ. I spent a lot of time building Cody and Bella and am passionate about high quality, comfortable products for our pets that are also stylish for our homes. However, I have decided to start a grad school program this fall and no longer have the time required to keep the business running and growing. I would love for someone to build on the foundation I've laid and create a more profitable business out of Cody and Bella.
