General description

I am a stay-at-home mother who started this business to gain back the financial independence that I lost post childbirth. My own experiences in maternity and baby care inspired me to open this store. The idea of dropshipping caught my fancy and the fact that the investment was not much and there wasn't any need to hold the inventory too, further motivated me to get into this. I started working on the store in Dec 2017 and went live in Jan 2018.

As with any business, you need to invest your time, creativity and efforts to make it a success. The reason I am selling the store is the lack of time I have to devote to it. I have a 10-month-old baby who is currently demanding almost all of my time. I tried my best to balance both, unfortunately couldn't. It makes me sad putting up this store on sale on which I had put so much time, effort and money. But in the current situation, its in my best interests to sell this off to someone who can add value.

On this dropshipping store, I am using one of the best themes of Shopify, which is regarded as no.1 for use on mobile phones. I did theme customizations to add multi-currency dropdown and modified color themes to suit my needs. Integrated Wishlists, Spin the wheel contests, Product reviews, Mailchimp and many other useful apps. My store is fully integrated with Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, Buy button, etc, sales channels. I have created social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest. Though I actively use only the first two. Social media has lot of potential if properly tapped. My store's Instagram following stands at 2k+

I also did paid advertising on Facebook and Instagram. And currently running paid ad campaigns on Google Adwords. I also did Influencer marketing on Instagram about 5-6 times, this lead to a boost in the followers.

My customer base isn't much as of now (made about 5-6 sales so far) considering the fact that the store is quite new and I haven't been too active on it since quite sometime. But people on social media have good brand awareness now, so the new owner just needs to tap that potential to make good sales.

This sale would include the store itself, the logo, all social media accounts and domain (with email).

The store has a big potential to be a grand success as the niche is very popular now and more and more parents today are looking to buy products online for their babies and themselves. How can the future owner improve the business?

I am currently importing products only from Oberlo Supply, but the new owner can import huge number of products from fully integrated and widely used platforms like Aliexpress and Spocket. Shopify supports all of them seamlessly. As the product base grows, so does the sales. You can garner more social media popularity by being more active and posting more frequently, that I am unable to do because of lack of time. The new owner can order products and do product photography on their own for more captivating photos. More and more influencer marketing and paid Facebook marketing can be done to reach targeted audience.
