I launched [PRIVATE INFO] in November of 2015 on the Shopify platform. This is a drop ship business so there is no inventory. I sell robot vacuums, robot lawn mowers, robot pool cleaners, robot window cleaners and more.

I started this business to generate income to supplement my regular job. I also wanted to learn about ecommerce and see if I could create a passive income stream. Now I'm ready to move on and create my own product, unrelated to this niche.

I have strong relationships with all my distributors. Margins range from 15% - 40%. Gross revenue for 2016 was $62,133 and in 2017 $74,265. The majority of sales were generated with Adwords in 2016, but as SEO improved, Adwords has been used less and organic sales have improved. This ratio will continue to improve for the new buyer, relying less on ad spend and more on organic, free sales.

Why should someone buy this store?

In the coming years, vacuum and floor cleaning robots will continue to make up the lion’s share of units at work in households. Sales will rise from 3.6 million units (2015) to around 30 million units within the 2016-2019 forecast period. Vacuum and floor cleaning robots account for 96 percent of domestic robot sales. Robotic mowers and pool cleaning robots rank second and third, respectively.

Home automation has made significant strides the past few years and will explode in the next five years as homes become fully automated with tech advances and affordable pricing. Robot Cleaner Store captures a portion of this niche, the only online store that focuses on home robot cleaners. We are the "experts" and the number one resource and therefore, a trusted, reliable brand.

How can the future owner improve the business?

There's significant room for growth regarding email list building, stronger SEO, link building, Google Adwords and Bing Remarketing and affiliate marketing.

• Email List – pop ups for email capture were activated in Sept 17’, much later than I would have liked. Conversion rate has been about 3%, just below industry average. This can be improved. Sales funnel emails can then be created for specific products users are interested in. I have created an email sequence targeted to non buyers that the new owner can have to generate more sales.

• Link Building – multiple blog and niche sites related to the store can be contacted for site link exchanges. Also maximize use of social media for online presence with Pinterest, Facebook, You Tube and Google +

• Remarketing – ads that appear to users that visited the site but did not purchase should be implemented. I have the Audience lists created in Google Analytics and the new owner should take advantage of this to create Remarketing Ads, which tend to be cheaper per click with a much higher ROI since the user is already familiar and interested in the product.

Another opportunity is targeting small professional businesses to use robotic cleaners, saving on cleaning crew costs.

Also, if the new owner wants to expand significantly, consider taking inventory. As a test in November, I sold 40 robot vacuums in 2 weeks shipped from China with margins of 65%. Buying volume from any of the distributors will result in increased margins by lowering the unit cost per item. New owner would have to determine storage of units and shipping logistics if they do decide to expand with inventory. Or they could do Amazon FBA and have products with stored with Amazon.

What work have you put into the store?

I managed the website design, added products, wrote all content on the website (product descriptions, blog, buyer guides, FAQ pages, etc).

I contacted all distributors and built strong relationships with them to add products to the business and determine margins for each product. All contacts and relationships will be transferred with introductions to the new owner.

I've created newsletters and drafted an email sequence the new owner can use.

I've learned how to create and manage Google Adwords (Search, Display, Shopping, Remarketing) and Bing (Shopping, Search). Also configured the Analytics data and Search Console. All this will be transferred to the new owner. System is in place, they just need to maintain.

Please note, I will be available for 1 month for training purposes and support for the new owner after purchase. I want to make sure they have everything they need to succeed as I have.
