General description

Enrich Gardening, an Atlanta based startup, sells the world’s smallest & smartest garden. The small and easy-to-use grow kits are designed to empower everyone to enjoy growing food within their own homes. It's the garden even you can't kill.

Enrich has also developed a companion mobile app which acts as a companion to the grow kits. On the front of every kit there is a QR code that can be scanned by the app. The app will load that very plant into a virtual garden and begin sending you reminders on when and how much to water.

Our business has been incubated at Georgia State University and has been a finalist in the TiE-U business model competition as well as recently picked up by Comcast in their work space. While we've had success over the past year, we are currently faced with a founder dilemma. Our majority shareholder got a big job in investment banking and plans on going full time with that firm. This greatly hurts our operations so all shareholders have agreed to sell the idea.

The price is fair for the business idea due to 1) the competitive edge our company offers and 2) the expansive growth within this space.

The current profits and revenue don't show the true health of the company. The minimal revenue (which hasn't capture all our sales) was due to a poor product design on our GEN1 kits. We had those from Dec17 to April18 this year. We recently switched over to the self watering kits and have received a lot better feedback. We have also seen a great increase in sales due to this new design.

Financials and traffic

We ran a pre-order indiegogo campaign and raised over 1,600 in pre-orders. We have already fulfilled them. We have done many sales due to low finances, heavy school schedules, and military obligations. We have had spastic orders since then due to no marketing completed.

I can provide a full P&L sheet showing our cost structure and margins.

We have a 12 month marketing plan ready for implementation with set strategies that will yield a lot more growth. Our issue is we can't afford some of these initiatives due to us being poor college students.

The current business model has been evaluated by many consultants, business professionals, and mentors all of which have deemed it a viable business model with good funding. Contact me for the pitch deck if you want the more in depth competitive edge we offer.

We have micro tested our target market and got a CPC of 0.23 and a conversion rate of 1.2%. We are working towards optimizing this even more to provide a good foundation to build a robust marketing strategy.


The sale of the website is a purchase of assets. The mobile application will be included as well. The platform the app was built upon is usable even by people without coding experience. I can make updates for a fee if changes are wanted in the future. The corporate entity will be dissolved and the assets transferred. This reduces cost greatly for both parties as I really don't want to hire my attorney to do a small purchase.

Please do not contact just seeking general info or generic questions. Last time we posted we got over 15 messages all with inquires that were not interested. The 5k price tag is very cheap for a startup that has validated the market and developed the product. This company needs a true marketing campaign and more capital. All the Co-Founders have been offered good paying jobs so we have decided to go our separate ways but we wanted to see the idea live on. All shipping cost to move the inventory is the buyers responsibility.

Margins for the kits are close to 95% and more with scale. Assembly and automation is very easy. Software is fully available on IOS and Android with minimal monthly upkeep. Server expansion possibly needed in the future.

Our inventory is not perishable and can easily be stored in small spaces. We currently make and ship the kits out of my basement but the product can quickly be scaled to a warehouse and automated due to the design. I can advise on this transition easily.

The current kits and future ones (self-watering) are easily manufactured under our supply chain and distributed with ease. Our software is already on IOS & Android and has users.

Why should someone buy this store?

Our business model was designed for a 3yr growth plan that outline product development, software updates, and more. We have done minimal work when it comes to the marketing side (as seen in the sales) due to the limited time and finances.

Some would say we should seek capital investment but that comes with many legal issues we can't take on (military obligations & employers). Stating again this is a great idea in a growing market but we are faced with the dilemma of a majority shareholder wanting to work in investment banking.

How can the future owner improve the business?

Following our business model will be a great tool in mapping out the future. I'm open to staying an adviser to the company to assist in big picture strategies to ensure my company succeeds.

There are a lot of good ideas and strategies designed by our CEO that have focus on continual product development and stepping into a more child focused product to empower the youth. Our CEO will stay on as an adviser to help with these ideas as it's a huge passion of his.

What work have you put into the store?

I've put close to a year into this business. Software development and product development have been our focus for the past year. We've created a truly innovative product and software. Our mobile app has been appraised from three third party software firms at 125k.

Our CEO has invested all his own money and self financed the whole thing. Hence why we are unable to do a full robust marketing strategy and build out the business fully. He decided to not take on capital investment due to his passion being in investment banking and already having career opportunities.
