Gidgetz Store was created in the summer of 2017. I got the idea after viewing an inspiring video by Adrian Morrison. Adrian Morrison is a marketing guru and has used his expertise in both Facebook Advertising and dropshipping to create one of the most successful Shopify stores to date. He has free tutorials available.
Adrian and his team developed the App, PixelMagic specifically for Shopify. Gidgetz store has PixelMagic installed. PixelMagic uses the Facebook Pixel, which is a way of tracking data about the specific customer visiting your store. This is invaluable because it allows you to target those whose Facebook profile matches those of your ideal customer.
Gidgetz has a custom designed logo that was created just after the store opened. There is also a dedicated url located at [REDACTED] There is also a Free $100 Google Adwords credit that is currently available. There is also a list of emails that have been captured and can be retargeted for further sales.
So far, I have used Facebook advertising to showcase the products. If you are able to take the time to learn Facebook Advertising, Facebook for business has created an entire University. In fact, Facebook for business is an extensive platform that the average FB user doesn’t even know exists. This is where you set up and run all your advertising campaigns. Gitgetz Shopify store is integrated with Facebook to post to the fan page directly through the Shopify store. There is a Facebook fan page dedicated exclusively for the Gidgetz Store.
Gidgetz store is also integrated with Oberlo, another Shopify app that seamlessly incorporates products from AliExpress. Oberlo has developed a Google Chrome Extension that takes a lot of the hands-on work out of adding and maintaining products in your Shopify store. Gidgetz Store uses AliExpress because it is the number one site that drop ships products from China to your customer’s door anywhere in the world.
The profit margins on most of the products are between 40 and 60% but some can be even higher. It’s up to you to decide what you want to profit from each sale. There are numerous products to choose from so you can refine your product list to reflect what you feel your customers will want. Gidgetz has typically listed low priced items however, we featured a rucksack/backpack for $140 until it sold out.
Gidgetz can also be advertised on Instagram and Twitter by setting up a designated account on each platform. Since Instagram and Facebook are owned by the same company, a single step in the settings will allow you to post on both platforms simultaneously.
After the initial setup I was only running the store approximately 1 hour a week. It definitely needed more hours a week in order to scale it up. However, my situation with family and other commitments didn’t allow for anymore than that at this time.
Gidgetz Store is a turn key operation that will cut down the setup time to get you up and running your Shopify store today. You can start earning money now and learn the technical side of the business as you go.
