1) About This Store: My store is a general dropshipping store that sells the trendiest product of the moment, thus riding of waves of interest in a product and enjoying a good profit margin. I learnt about dropshipping online and started this store to try out. The store is making good revenue now, roughly $20,000 a month, but averaged across 9 months it's $5000++. This is because it wasn't getting a lot of revenue in the start.
In the start there was a lot of figuring out how things work, like how to improve user experience in the store, how to write product description so that visitors will convert, how to upsell to make more revenue out of every buying customer, etc. Even small little things like putting trust badges under the Add To Cart button and at the end of the product description, having Shipping & Delivery info for every product, etc were actually done after researching and learning from dropshipping gurus. I also learnt from the top gurus in the industry what apps to use,like what would drive or create urgency for customers. There is a lot of psychological approach to these things. Like the Sales Pop app that pops up where every few seconds while a visitor is on the website, it actually increases their buying intent by 30% according to stats from gurus. The Hurrify timer increases their intent by another 20%. These things were intricately done. What seems like a simple website actually took months of research to get it till this day. Now, the conversion rate of visitors is high, typically 60% converts into sales. So, as of now , it's a full-fledged high revenue generating site.
2) Applications In Place:
a. Upsell & Cross-Sell : I have all the shopify apps in place to help upsell and make more profits more than just selling the product i am actively advertising for. Try adding a product called 'Roller Fit' to cart and on the cart page , you will see an upsell/cross-sell item called 'Waist Shaper' on top of cart page. Through such applications i have maximised sales.
Also under every product page, you will see items belonging to the same category. This will also upsell/cross sell more items customers will like .
In the cart page, scroll down and you will see items belonging to the same category customer has added to cart. This has also increased my revenue per customer.
b. Suppliers ,Oberlo and Fulfillment Automation: My store has more 100 products , each product having a trustworthy supplier who provides quality item at a reasonable cost. This is generated from my hours of research of each product for a good supplier before listing them in the store. Buyer of my website can ensure ease of selling and profit-generation.
Using Oberlo, my fulfilment is automated. When orders come in, Oberlo will sync the customer details to Aliexpress supplier with just a click, all i need to do is to confirm purchase there and fulfilment is done.
When item is ordered, tracking code will be given in a few days, and my store has set automation to send the shipping details via email to customer. So i do not need to worry about customers asking for their tracking code and where their item is.
There is a Track Order page (see the menu tabs, it's beside Contact Us) , where customers can track orders themselves with their received tracking code. This minimizes them asking us where their item is.
3) SEO and Product Description: The product description for most products(those actively promoted and high value items) in the store is conscientiously crafted so that it gets picked up by search engines. SEO copywriting is done for the products i am advertising for and potential products so as to make sure the store gets healthy organic traffic.
I have training in SEO thus i know how to write such that the products get organic traffic.
4) Reason for selling store:
I am selling my store because i am focusing on a new store selling in a niche space and the physical store (f&b food service) business in my country. The physical store is getting better in sales, so i am going to expand my business and opening more stores. I am focusing on getting franchisees and having chain stores thus i do not have time for the dropshipping business.
Even after selling this store, i am willing to share my experience in finding new products and marketing of products with the new owner.
