Huskers Revamp'D is a gently used Nebraska Husker apparel store. We found that Husker apparel was overpriced, especially for college aged students, and there was an abundance of used Husker gear that people were wanting to get rid of. Our business buys and receives donations (inventory) from people and thrift stores selling or wanting to get rid of their Husker gear. Once we purchase items at a reduced price, we resell the merchandise for a higher but still reasonable price to Husker fans looking to buy inexpensive apparel. We currently still own some inventory from our store, the logo, and our Shopify domain. We are selling Huskers Revamp'D because we just don't have the time to keep operating as the team members are all currently in college. However, we love the ideas and don't want it to die, and we really feel that Husker fans are willing to pay for unique items of clothing like this!

Q & A
Why should someone buy this store?
Huskers Revamp'D has a lot of potential to expand and become something really cool if there is someone willing to pursue this business and run with the idea. Even though the clothing is used, I know Husker fans are more than willing to pay the price for their favorite fan gear. I know for a fact there are a lot of people, especially college students, who like wearing unique clothing such as vintage wear (National Champion football gear from the 90s, vintage crewnecks, sweaters, and jean jackets), and at the same time there are so many people wanting to get rid of old Husker gear. If there is someone willing to run with the idea, connect with Husker fans, and wanting to make some extra money, I think this would be an awesome business opportunity.
How can the future owner improve the business?
When we started Huskers Revamp'D, our eventual goal was to create a site where people could sell their gently used Husker apparel, accessories, signage, and decor and we would take a commission out of it. I think the future of this business could be a "Husker Hub" where people sell their Husker merchandise and HR takes a commission out of whatever people sell so there is no inventory. However, I think the idea of someone wanting to sell vintage wear and inexpensive clothing from people wanting to get rid of it, and reselling it at a higher price would work great too, as long as you can keep inventory. I think it is also important to expand the social media presence and connect with more thrift stores and Husker outlets for sales and "out of season" clothing to resell.
What work have you put into the store?
The Husker Revamp'D team has purchased gently used apparel from thrift stores and people wanting to get rid of their old Husker clothing. We then priced and weighed products, and took pictures of the apparel for the website. We have marketed to people on our own social media pages and through our personal social circles.
What are your profit margins?
What sort of marketing do you do to promote the store?
I am a college student at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln involved in the Engler Entrepreneurship program. I love creativity, entrepreneurship, and thinking outside of the box. I am currently an Ag Education major and hope to implement creativity and business starting skills into my future classroom.
