I started this store in 2017 because I wanted to challenge myself and test out drop shipping. I decided to call the store after myself, Jenn and I called it Jennifer Express because I love expressing myself. I bought the domain and started my social medias for it. It thankfully wasn’t taken on instagram. I have an email for it as well. I changed my store so many times. I wanted it to be a women clothing store that also sells shoes and jewelry. I spent over 500 dollars on ads on Facebook. The store did get lots of visitors and had some people in carts. I had good connections on instagram. It grew to 700 but I was inactive so it is now at 590. I am selling this business because I am focusing on my other businesses and I feel someone else should take this store because it has a nice logo and name.
I believe it has lots of potential to grow because the name is very simple and I was going for a more simple cute store for women's fashion. I just never had the time to put in more effort because I was focusing on my other businesses. I believe if someone really invested in taking time to grow this store, it will make lots of sales.
How can the future owner improve the business?
I believe if they grew the social media more and put effort into designing the store and choosing good products, it could do very well. I mostly struggled with the design of the store and marketing.
What work have you put into the store?
I changed a lot with the store. I deleted so many products and changed the theme about 20 times. I never stuck to anything. I have put a lot of effort into my logo and tried finding good pictures that weren't copyrighted. I also created POD products. I was going to create more shoes but I designed the shoes I have on there right now and it took me about 2 weeks. I am not a great designer so I feel like someone else could do a better job if they chose print on demand. I had people interested in buying them. I was going to work on building an email list, but I feel like the store should be more established before actually building one. I have an email for it as well.
How many hours does it take to run this business per week?
