This store was firstly created as a dropshipping general store. We were selling in a lot of different niches. But only one off them had a good potential (wiccan & pagan). So we change all the branding of the store to match this niche and start selling only products of this niche.
We started this because, we saw that there was practically no competition on facebook ads for this niche. We only started selling on this niche in september 2017. This is why it's only at that time that we had a lot of sales. So this month was really great but from october started Q4 and the facebook ads were not anymore profitable. So we stopped them and the store for some months. After in january, we started to think that it would be better to have traffic from seo because, there also, there is little competition in this niche. So we didn't do anymore facebook ads after that. We have made a lot of optimization for seo, and we started to have keywords ranked on google this month. We have also written some articles.
One other custom thing that we have done is a map referencing all witchraft stores in the us. The idea was the following: there is 10k-100k searches on google for keywords like "witchcraft stores near me", but the only thing where people can see a listing of these kind of stores are on witchvox. So we thought we can make a map and ranked it. If people come to see the map, they can also go on our shop.
We are selling this store because we are not anymore interested in this niche to keep working on this store. But we see a great potential for someone who has experience with seo or ads due to low competition but a great demand. (One example is our conversion rate that was up to 16% in september. Ecommerce stores have in average a conversion rate of 2%).
