Rafter Stands are wooden, premium guitar stands for homes and decorated spaces, such as studios etc. The goal is to provide a more furniture-like guitar stand than the ones on the market currently.
Background: Although there are roughly 50 million guitar players globally (plus the players of other stringed instruments), surprisingly few efforts have been made to design an attractive guitar stand for home use. Instrument stands on the market are often portable and robust, but usually also black, made of plastic or metal tube, and padded with rubber foam. Not only are these stands potentially hazardous to the delicate finishes on the high-end instruments (!), but also they are something you would prefer not to have in an elegant apartment. Rafter Stands are premium wooden instrument stands. Original Rafter Multi-Stands were designed for a personal need of an attractive guitar stand , and they have been sold via a dedicated web-shop all around the Europe, the U.S, and e.g. Saudi Arabia. The stands have been handcrafted in a carpentry shop in Southern Finland for a cost of circa 60€/pc., and sold globally for 125€-159€ /pc.
