As a first-time business owner, I personally put a lot of work and effort into getting my boutique off the ground. Market research was conducted in the beginning stages of the store's conception to identify customer opinions on items listed and gage a sense of like vs dislike for items placed in the store's inventory. This allowed us to provide our customers with items that suited their needs and styles, without compromising the style of our boutique. Additionally, I have put great effort into advertising and adding personalized details into my packaging, which rang successful with customers. Each package was shipped within 1 business day and reached the client in 2 business days maximum. Also, each package was delicately wrapped in tissue paper for safe delivery and sealed with personalized "Rose & Vine Boutique" stickers, a personalized "Thank You" note to the customer, and business card for further contact in case of any issues. We have received all 5-star reviews on our Facebook page and have a strong reputation with our current clientele, which has proven successful with repeat customers.
The future owner of Rose & Vine Boutique can look to improve the business by placing more capital into new inventory and marketing to a wider audience and I can currently provide. As a current graduate student, my store's budget has suffered due to lack of funding for further inventory orders, thus restricting the level of interest customers have with the store. We have proven successful in the Summer and Fall months, but require more capital to sustain inventory growth and development.
I have personally put a lot of work into the store by getting it off the ground from market research, website development, domain retrieval, and brand design. I have designed the website based on client needs and opinions, and personalizing each package with personalized "Rose & Vine Boutique" stickers, a personalized "Thank You" note to each customer, and business cards for further contact in case of any issues. By doing so, I have grown a sustainable reputation among the Facebook and Instagram community, receiving 5-star reviews by a handful of customers and advertising actively on Google Adwords, Facebook, and Instagram. I have also sustained a positive relationship with all my suppliers and have narrowed down inventory that is high in quality, but cost effective. I have also set up an account with UPS for importing goods into Canada at a reduced rate, to bring down operating costs. Also, all advertising, logo design, website design, and product design is uniquely created to fit the aesthetic of my store and was all personally created by myself. I have continuously prided myself on putting the customer's needs ahead of my own, and has rang successful with my customers time and time again.
