The store was established due to the fact that I couldn't find any clothes that managed to effectively cross style and comfort, meaning that I decided to take matters into my own hands, and, if I could, throw a bit of affordability into the mix, and from this dream, the shop 'Stroud Clothing' was born. The initial creation of the store took a lot of work, and at first I struggled with branding, but once I had a logo, everything kind of fell into place.
The sale includes not only the actual store itself, built on Shopify, loaded up with images and with descriptions on all the products, designed to entice people. It also includes the domain, currently hosted on TSOHost, a very reliable domain provider, at a very good price. It has been paid for for a year, meaning it will come at essentially no cost to you for the first 9/10 months. It also includes all of the products, connected on Printful dropshipping and the majority of them with around a 70% markup. All of the social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram) are also included on the sale, which are a huge opportunity for growth, through adverts or smart social media management.
The business model is low risk and medium-high reward, due to the fact that it is through the process of drop-shipping on 'Printful', meaning that order fulfilment is very easy and you don't need to hold any inventory whatsoever. This means that there is no risk or difficulty in the transfer of the store, and there is no monetary loss if there are no immediate orders.
In terms of the work that I have already put into the business, a huge part of it was in the creation of a brand, and the Stroud Clothing brand is now established and very sleek and elegant, with opportunities for brand-labelled products and a multitude of opportunities for expansion. The shop has been loaded up with high quality product images for all of the products that are listed and Basic SEO has been done for all of the products on the store. I have also designed the whole website and set up all of the social media platforms, meaning that the takeover will be very easy and everything has already been set up for you. I have already also spent quite a bit of money on Facebook advertising in order to try and drive traffic to the website, which has been successful.
In terms of the handover and the actual website once it is in your possession, it is very easy to add more products to the store and designs you would like to add, in addition any products to want to remove or change is totally up to you once the store is in your hands. The order fulfilment is very easy and there is nothing else that needs to be done to the website, it is already fully ready for sales, and the amount of time and money that you put into the business is entirely up to you as it essentially runs itself.
Finally, the reason that I am selling the business is due to the fact that I have a multitude of other business that I have in my portfolio and I would like to work on those now that I have already set this business up entirely and that is my favourite bit of the process, therefore I would like to keep the business alive and yet move on to newer businesses.
