Selling store with 70 products. Tactical Niche. Very passion. All products dropship from Aliexpress and 1688. High profit margin. About 40%+
Store comes with Premium Testament Theme + Booster theme + Handy (Only these themes cost more than $400).
Main traffic comes from Facebook and Instagram.
Great and unique domain name TACTECAL.COM
1.How do people find out about your site? If it’s using Facebook Ads, can you provide me with information about the ads’ performance?
Yes, Facebook Ads and Instagram. The sales that you can see in the performance from my general store. I changed the concept and created Tactecal Store, but never advertise it because I started working on another project, so I can't show you my performance ads.
2.What are the profit margins of the products the store is selling? Are the margins stable or do they vary a lot depending on the type of marketing the store does?
- A lot of products I added from 1688.com (They also available from Aliexpress, but the price is higher). If you will drop shop from the1688.com you can make about 150-200% (Independent of your CPO -cost per order). But the margin is HUGE. If you will drop ship from Aliepxress margin will be about 50-100%. Some items in the store have significantly lower price than competitions and it has the same price like on Aliexpress.
If you will decide to source the product from 1688, you will need a sourcing agent from China, you easily can find them on Upwork. You will pay some money for their work, but you can source the products with a much much lower price. For example, military jacket at 1688 cost $15, and the same one on Aliepxress cost $40. If you source from AE, you need to put price about $70-80, but if you source from 1688, you can put $50-60. I have all links to 1688 and Aliexpress with my products and will give you if you will buy the store.
- Is there any marketing or social media accounts in place?
I have a Facebook group for this store, but there is no a lot of engagements. You can find FB group here:
Also, I have Instagram Group where 6000 subscribes, you just need to upload a logo and new posts.
Why are you selling if it makes money?
At this time the website doesn't generate any sales because I'm not advertising it. Previously it was a general store, and there it makes some money. After I updated the store, add a new domain, change the name but have no time to advertise it because I worked (and current;y working) on another project.
What are the return policies with the suppliers like?
You can choose your rules about the return policy. In my case it worked like this:
If a customer ordered the item and it was already shipped, there are no returns. If the customer received defect item, wrong size, I asked for the pictures and after just send another one (they don't pay anything).
What did you do that led to the conversions between January and April?
When I just start out, it was a general store (not current one). After I decided to change the concept but never advertise it. Mainly traffic was from Facebook.
- How easy would it be for a buyer to replicate that success?
I'll suggest adding Print on Demand Items to the store. This will improve trust for customers and you can make good money with this business model too.
I will suggest to you find a good designer (I can recommend one designer, I worked with him before).
You go to Facebook and type in the search bar "veterans t-shirt" or "veterans teespring" or "veterans get yours here" to find good t-shirts that already selling well on Facebook. Grab this design and show to your designer. He supposes to do it better. After publishing to the store and drive traffic to this product page. In this case, all products that you will be sold will fulfill in the USA with much less time. I liked this business model much more than just regular dropship because in this case, customers will get products much faster, they will be happy, because this t-shirts/hoodies cannot be bought via regular store and you will make more money.
What were your traffic sources, and what was your gross profit for those 4 months?
Gross profit was about $10k. The main traffic source was from Facebook.
P.S. Like I said in the description of the listing, in my store installed already 3 premium themes.
Testament $140 https://themes.shopify.com/themes/testament/styles/genesis
Handy $180 https://themes.shopify.com/themes/handy/styles/light
Shopify Booster $150 https://boostertheme.com/
If you will buy the store, you will get all these themes with the store. Also, we can schedule one time call via Skype and I can show you how to add Print On Demand products, how to set up a campaign on Facebook, etc, all things that you will be interesting.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
Add more Print On Demand Products. I already have teelaunch app installed in the store. Need to hire a designer to give them an idea and design examples about tactical niche. After publish this designs via teelaunch. Plus in this idea, that you can drop ship POD (print on Demand Products) in the USA. Shipping + handling about 7-10 days and it much faster delivery. Also new owner can write PRINT in the USA., that will add trust to the products. Print on Demand products could be:
T-Shirts (Man, Women, Unisex)
Also, if the future Owner has a audience or emails related to the niche, it could be connected to MailChip App (Also installed).
Future Owner could send new emails with the current products to generate the new sales right away.
Also, with this audience (or email list) could be create LLA audience on Facebook and could boost the sales.
