The Cavalier is a drop shipping site catered towards the modern gentlemen. Our goal is to offer luxury items at more affordable prices because living a classy lifestyle should not mean breaking the bank. I decided to start the business after shopping for watch to give to my dad for his birthday. I was blown away with how expensive many of the watches were, and decided that change needed to take place. This is where the concept of the Cavalier came from. I have experimented with a couple facebook ads, along with a google ad. However, I would not consider myself to be particularly skillful in marketing. At the end of the day, I have also lacked the necessary passion for this project. I am currently working on multiple projects that require a lot more attention, and that I am actually passionate about. This has caused me to be lazy with this store, and honestly, I have held ownership of it for too long now. I have lost interest in this business and have only recently, actually considered selling it.
Someone should buy this store if they are interested in the market. It is a really easy market to crack, and a very desirable niche. As long as you are interested in the market, you will have no trouble growing this business.
How can the future owner improve the business?
The future owner can improve this business by simply being active on social media, and doing minimal marketing. Building an email list would also be very beneficial to the future owner. After running only a couple advertisements, I noticed a large increase in traffic. A future owner could also improve the business by working towards converting more views to purchases.
What work have you put into the store?
I put a lot of work into building this company from scratch. However, I barely put any work into actually growing it. The growth process was very slow, as a result of minimal effort. I became too preoccupied with my other projects that I lost interest and spent less time working on this one. Although, initially building this company, and writing product descriptions for about 50 products took many days.
