First of all, the gross profit on our store is pretty high, because we did it almost without putting money in marketing! My business partner and I decided to give it a shot in ecommerce industry and after about 3 months of watching courses and tutorials we finally got down to business. That was in June 2017. We found a passionate niche - vegans and since we wanted to keep our expenses down decided to try influencer marketing. We created a story behind Weegan. Instagram influencers (who had a followers base between 5 - 180k) bought into the story and promoted our product (a simple necklace with vegan inscription) for free - we only sent them the product, which we dropshipped. So when our influencers started posting about our campaign, we've sold about 900 necklaces in 3 days. After that things went quiet, since we did not have a lot of time on our hands. We had another smaller campaign in September and one in beginning of November, when we prepared a free recipe eBooklet and got about 2,000 emails which can be used for further retargeting. We've also sold about 50 T-Shirts in 2 days. The expenses were pretty low: Shopify subscription (and some apps like Oberlo), COGS (cost of goods sold), 2 paid promotions on IG, an optimized Shipify theme and some other minor costs. So we did it almost without putting money in marketing. The store also has FB Pixel installed of course and Google Analytics as well. Exchange app is showing 5,760$ of revenue, but that was till October 31st. We've included a screenshot that shows the $6,793.86 of revenue on November 28th. Our conversion rate is off the charts (higher than 6%) and was actually a bit lower than 10% up until that free ebook campaign, when people only visited to download the ebook - consequently the conversion rate dropped.

Why should someone buy this store?

The potential in this niche is HUGE. If you start reading articles, you can see that every year there are more people going vegan. And the niche is really passionate. They also like to talk about veganism and tell other people they are vegans. And the majority of them are women, who are the biggest online spenders. So with the store you get a known brand, a list of about 100 influencers with emails (we have established really good relationships with some), data on more than 800 customers, additional 500 emails of other IG vegans/influencers and more than 2,000 emails from the free eBooklet campaign. You also get an external Shopify theme worth $350 and an ecommerce course where you'll learn practically everything you need to know. We also started using ManyChat - a messenger bot. On Messenger open and click rates are really high so businesses will definitely try to tap into this channel in the next few months. We haven't put a single dollar in SEO, but still we are on first page of google when you type in Weegan. We've also negotiated lower prices with our suppliers.

How can the future owner improve the business?

A lot of influencers are prepared to do paid promotions, so if you're ready to invest in marketing you can start there. Also with all the data we've gathered from customers and subscribers you can do FB audiences, FB lookalike audiences, see what people are interested in and target them. Posting more content on IG (we have 4.5k followers) and FB is also a possibility (to grow organically). Blog is another way website could be improved. There are a lot of possibilities if you have time and money to invest. You should also focus on getting Messenger subscribers.

What work have you put into the store?

We've invested our heart and soul in this store, especially since we did not have money to invest and we had to work really hard to make up for the lack of it. So let's say about 5-6 months of hard work, learning new things every day, fighting, making up, being exhausted, being sad and being happy. But now we got a chance to work for a digital marketing agency with huge potential and we just don't find the time to work on both projects anymore. But if we wait until we find more time, the store might lose momentum. We think somebody could bring Weegan to another level with the right attitude and hard work.
